Dr. M. Suneetha

Dr. M. Suneetha is the one of the best Radiation Oncologists associated with American Oncology Institute, Hyderabad as a Senior Consultant with an overall experience of 18 years in Radiation Oncology. She completed her MBBS from the prestigious Osmania medical college in the year 1992 and MD – Radiation oncology from MNJIORCC. She also gained her DNB from National Board of Examination, Delhi and FRCR Clinical Oncology from Royal College of Radiologists, UK.

With an observer-ship from Institute Rotary Cancer Hospitals- AIIMS and from Christie Hospital- Manchester, Dr. Suneetha is regarded among the best radiation oncologists in Hyderabad. She was associated with Basavatarakam Indo American Cancer Hospital & Research Institute for 12 years. She also has experience in clinical practice, including teaching of post graduate and DNB students.

Dr. Suneetha Key area of expertise lies in recent advances in radiation oncology – IMRT, RAPID ARC, IGRT etc, breast and gynaec oncology, GI malignancies, neuro oncology – SRS / SRT, image guided brachytherapy & IORT, lung and liver SBRT, reirradiation, organ preservation protocols and soft tissue sarcomas. Over the years, she has undertaken training in current technologies in the field of Radiation Oncology such Rapid Arc Technology for Novalis TX from Switzerland along with training for IORT from Germany. She also received training for breast radiation from Tata Memorial Hospital. She is adept in managing various malignancies in coordination with multi-disciplinary teams.

Dr. Suneetha is the author of book 25 HOPE STREET/GELUPU KIRANAALU in English and Telugu languages, a compilation of 25 extraordinary stories about CANCER patients & caregivers told in a simple and engaging way to instil confidence and motivate families of the affected. She is also the recipient of Indira Priyadarshini Young Doctor Award. She also has few publications in peer reviewed journals to her credit.
