General Instruction for Health Check Package

• All Health Check up are conducted by prior appointments only
• To make an appointment, please contact our appointment cell on 040-67191919 & Extn: 2180/2167 between 8:00 am to 8:30pm. (PHC Coordinator No. 9959013741)
• If it is your first visit to our hospital, then give your details to PHC coordinator for “Quick Registration” to be done.
• You are requested to reach at 8:00am to facilitate the smooth process of your check up
• Approximate time for the completion on the entire package is around 4-5 Hrs for Executive/Master/ Diabetic/ Advanced Cardiac Health check and 3 Hrs for pre employment Health checkup
• Kindly have your last meal at least 8-10 hours before you come for the check and report on an empty stomach. You may drink water which may allow your bladder to fill so that we can perform the ultrasound of the lower abdomen. No other fluid is permitted (tea/coffee or juice). Complete abstain from alcohol at least 12 Hrs prior to the Check up
• Please wear comfortable clothes and slippers as you may undergo various tests. (If the package has a TMT, please wear a pair of running shoes or sneakers)
• If you are diabetic, avoid taking your insulin injections / anti diabetic tablets on the morning of Health Check up. Please carry your insulin / anti diabetic tablets which you can be taken as instructed by the doctor. Please carry your regular medication along (like Blood pressure & other medicines, which requires to be taken before & after the Breakfast)
• Inform Health Check up Department in advance if you want any additional Check Ups or Consultations to be done so that we can schedule your appointments for one by one
• We can provide additional Test/ Investigations / Procedures / Consultations at request or if required. However these will be billed separately in additions to the package payment
• An authorization letter from your company is required to avail services paid for by the company. Applicable only for corporate clients

For Ladies

• If you are menstruating on the scheduled day of your appointment, Kindly inform the nurse on arrival, since you will not be able to do your Urine, Stool and Pap Smear tests as the presence of blood would produce inaccurate results.
• Pregnant ladies or those suspecting pregnancy should not undergo X – ray, Mammography, or treadmill test.

Instruction for undergoing Mammogram

• Age limit above 40 Yrs.
• Avoid caffeine-containing foods and beverages like coffee, tea, and energy drinks. Caffeine can cause breast tenderness. Consider abstaining for several days up to 2 weeks before your appointment.

• Take an over-the-counter pain reliever one hour before the procedure. Compression of your breasts during the mammogram is necessary, but it can be painful. Take steps to minimize the discomfort you experience.
• Do not apply any grooming products under the arms or on the breasts. Products, such as deodorants, antiperspirants, powders, lotions, creams, or perfumes can interfere with the quality of the images.
• Wear a shirt with pants, shorts, or a skirt. You will need to undress from the waist up and put on a gown that opens in the front. Changing your clothing will be easier if you only have to remove your shirt.
• Leave any neck jewellery at home. Anything around the neck will interfere with obtaining clear X-ray images of your breasts. Do not risk having neck jewellery lost or stolen because you have to remove it.
• Tell the radiology technologist about your breast-related medical history– The technologist can focus on any suspicious areas and communicate that to the radiologist if you tell him about specific breast signs and symptoms. The technologist also will pass on any information about your personal or family history of breast cancer.
• Tell the radiology technologist about any physical limitations. The mammogram will take about 30 minutes. You will need to stand and change positions during this time. The technologist will work around any physical limitations.

For Pap Smear Test-For 48 hours before a Pap test, do not:

• Have sex.

• Use tampons.(Vaginal Suppositories).
• Douche. (Deep Vaginal Cleaning with water or soap).
• Use vaginal lubrication.
• Insert creams, suppositories, or medication into the vagina.
• Use vaginal sprays or powders.
• PAP SMEAR test cannot be performed during the menstruations (mensus)*

Instruction for Ultrasound

• Preparations depend on the type of ultrasound you are having. For a study of the liver, gallbladder, spleen, and pancreas, you may be asked to eat a fat-free meal on the evening before the test and then to avoid eating for eight to 12 hours before the test.

• Have 4 to 5 glasses of water (approximately 1 lt) 30 min to 45 min before the procedure, so your Bladder should be full and the details are captured properly.
• You may ask to hold urine for at least 10min to perform ultrasound.
• If you are having an abdomen, aorta, gallbladder, pancreas and biliary tract ultrasound, you cannot eat, drink, smoke or chew gum 12 hours before your exam.

Lab Investigation

• Maintain a minimum 12-hour fasting period before undergoing any checkup. Avoid having tea/coffee before the tests. Can take plain water to produce accurate lab reports.

• Avoid any medications if not necessary, can take after giving blood samples.
• Do not consume alcohol, cigarettes for atleast 24hrs before you go for health check.
