Emergency Hospital Hyderabad

Radiology

Radiologists at Citizens Specialty Hospital specialize in the diagnosis of disease using advanced imaging tools such as x-rays, CT scanning, PET/CT scanning, mammography, echocardiography and ultrasound.  Our super speciality radiologists not only provide treatment but play a greater role in helping other doctors make diagnoses and create treatment plans for a wide range of health problems. Our radiologists also play an important role in health screening and preventive medicine. Routine investigations such as mammograms can have a tremendous impact on stemming the spread of disease or detecting it in early phases, when patients have the most treatment options and the likelihood of a cure is highest.

The Citizens Specialty Hospital Radiology team features doctors with sub-specialty training in multiple fields and with international training and board certification. All members are active in multiple professional societies and maintain tight relationships with the international radiology community, staying close with the latest trends, developments and clinical research in the field for the benefit of patients treated at Citizens Specialty Hospital.

As the number of imaging modalities and their use expands, radiologists play a role in the diagnosis (and sometimes treatment) of literally thousands of ailments. They provide other clinicians with information that helps lead to faster, safer and more accurate treatments.

  • On our campus we have full-scale digital imaging for x-ray, mammography, ultrasound and echocardiography. We also offer 4D PET/CT scanning, one of the world’s most complete and accurate methods for visualizing internal organs
  • We use a state-of-the-art GE PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System) and proprietary RIS (Radiology Information System) to store all images taken on campus. Use of these systems ensures maximum security and safety for all images. Doctors on our campus can use these systems to view images from a patient’s current hospital stay or one from the past, which can help make diagnoses faster and care more accurate. These systems also enable easy collaboration by physicians, since all of the doctors participating in any patient’s care have ready access to images at secure computer terminals on our campus.
