E-ONE – Emergency response system
A fully-equipped emergency care response system from Citizens Specialty Hospital, E-ONE is a comprehensive system that deploys trained clinical manpower, state-of- the-art technology as well as evidence-based treatment management processes to ensure the best possible outcomes in any emergency situation. F-ONE, as a program, is equipped to manage a patient right from the place of incident, through a fully-equipped ICU ambulance, till the patient is received at the hospital’s premises by the emergency department.
E-ONE ambulances are manned by fully-trained “Emergency Medical Technicians” (EMT) and are equipped with advanced technology called “Tele-medicine” that transmits patient vital parameters to the command center in the emergency department at the hospital. This enables EMTs to start the treatment in the ambulance itself, saving precious time.
Prompt & targeted care at the hospital
The hospital’s emergency room works as a nodal point for integrated care delivery for patients requiring immediate medical attention for regular medical emergencies as well as for emergencies that require special care such as Cardiac, Neuro, Ortho, Critical Care etc. Tele-medicine technology enables the team to be prepared at the time of arrival of the patient and also the specialists to be ready to treat the patient immediately upon arrival. The fully equipped F-ONE emergency room at Citizens Specialty Hospital is well equipped with 20 beds.
Multi-disciplinary team at work
Post primary assessment, the patient is moved to the specialized care unit for further management as required. The F-ONE emergency care unit is supported round-the-clock by all other important support systems such as a 24×7 blood bank, Anesthetists and Radiologists for further diagnosis. Also, Citizens Specialty Hospital has a set of fully-equipped and 24×7 manned Intensive Care Units (IC U) that can cater to just about any emergency depending on the specialty of care that is required.
Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU)
Citizens Specialty Hospital is equipped with an advanced MICU that can provide acute care to patients
with critical medical illnesses. The unit has managed several emergencies such as stroke, complications arising from uncontrolled sugar and similar situations with positive outcomes.
High Dependency Unit (HDU)
HDUs are special wards providing intensive treatment and monitoring for patients who are ill but in comparatively stable condition. HDU is also used as a step down for patients from MICU.Cath Lab and Coronaiy Intensive Care Unit (CICU)
For heart related emergencies, Citizens Specialty Hospital has an advanced 24×7 Cath Lab that is equipped to perform lifesaving procedures such as primary Angioplasty and Cardiothoracic surgeries. The first 90-minutes matter the most in case of cardiac emergencies and F-ONE is one of the most adequately equipped systems to save lives in such scenarios.
24×7 Dialysis Unit
The Dialysis Unit at Citizens Specialty Hospital is equipped with state-of-the-art infrastructure as well as facilities such as mobile beds for the greater comfort of the patients.
24x 7 Operation Theatres and Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU)
Citizens Specialty Hospital is equipped with ultra sterile theatres, where major emergency surgeries can be performed within a short notice. The multi-disciplinary team comprises eminent surgical specialists and trained support staff, and the team works towards initial resuscitation and recovery of post-surgical patients.

The dept. of Gynaecology & Obstetrics at Citizens Specialty Hospital offers a full spectrum of women’s health care services including painless deliveries and management of high risk pregnancies/late pregnancies. The dept. is also adept at managing complicated situations such as hypertension causing seizures, uncontrolled bleeding for pregnant women or any other life-threatening situation requiring emergency delivery.
